Nothing excites me more than a bit of sun and we've had sun a-plenty this weekend, Hallelujah! This little smock dress arrived last week and it's been perfect to throw on on nice days (the shape also helps hide the old cider belly that seems to come hand in hand with nice weather). It really reminds me of the White Pepper dresses that I'm forever admiring so I was pretty excited when I saw this one on the Motel website. I'm still debating whether or not it would be appropriate to buy it in the other colour too... I'm thinking no. I popped it on with these heels from Choies which, I have to say, have been an absolute dream to wear. I wore them on a night out with my amigos last night and didn't have to hobble home at the end of it. Who woulda thunk it. My feet have been having a bit of a tough time recently (see the beautiful plasters on them in the last photo. Sorry about that) and I think one more pair of heel-rubbing devils might just have rendered me a cripple.

Well, me and my cider belly are being drawn back to the sun, sayonara for now.

Dizzy Lizzy

Just a quick post tonight as I had the genius idea of simultaneously unpacking and tidying my room today so I'm currently drowning in mess.

We had some sun at the weekend so I dug out this dress from one of my favourites, Oh My Love. It's all lined with net which makes it puff out so, before I really knew what was happening, I was prancing and spinning about the place. Until I got a headache, that is. Long gone are the days when I used to play Dizzy Lizzies for hours on end. Unfortunately this dress is now out of stock but there's a whole load of amazing new stock on the website so it's worth a browse!

Blurred Lines

I've been listening to Blurred Lines on constant repeat since I got back from Paris - if my neighbours didn't hate me before they do now - so I thought it was only fitting to name this post after it. Maybe I should break out into vlogging and share my moves with you. Then again, maybe not; I don't want an influx of dry cleaning bills after people have been sick on themselves watching it.

I was browsing the Sheinside website a couple of weekends ago when I spotted this polka dot set and almost kissed the computer screen in rejoice. I love a good set but haven't seen any I've liked in a while and, to make matters even better, this one's only £13. The top's quite long so I've rolled it up so that you can see that it's a set and not a dress. Just call me Harlot Spencer.

Oh hey there! I'm back from Disney and, quite frankly, I'm depressed. That place really is like living in a beautiful bubble. Another colourful outfit, this is exciting isn't it? I'm already the proud owner of two dresses in this style from Glamorous so when I spied one in a new print I snapped it up right away. If it isn't broke don't fix it, right? I'm not really sure that that saying can be used to justify buying three variations of the same dress but I'm going to go with it anyway. I've already got two of them stashed away in our case for Disney but, since we only have one case between us, I think I'll maybe hold back on taking the third.

Although I suppose I could wear it travelling...

Dreaming of you

I've always been a fan of Sheinside but I can't get over how good they are at the moment. Warehouse had in the most amazing white waistcoat but, at £85, it wasn't going to get to come home with me. Despite this, I made up outfits in my head with it and occasionally dreamed about it too. Ok, that last part's not true but, had it happened, I wouldn't have been surprised. Anyway, when this lookalike popped up on the Sheinside website I thought it was too good to be true, especially at only £15. Now I'm free to make all those outfits I had in my dreams real, HUZZAH. Well, apart from the one that featured these babies because I don't actually own them but... one day, one fine day.

I picked up my necklace in H&M last week, deeming it a holiday 'essential', along with suntan lotion and travel plugs. I've been a huge fan of Dannijo jewellery for a long time and this reminded me a lot of their stuff, except with a happier price tag. Happy days.

troublesome gilet

I had a top really similar to this from Topshop and it ripped THE FIRST TIME I WORE IT. Oh the horror. So when a similar one popped up on Sheinside I thought it might just be my lucky day. I actually find this one better quality than Topshop and it's almost half the price too.. so-so-so-scandalous. I wore it with this gilet despite my Mum saying I looked like I lesbian in it. Sometimes she's so supportive of my sartorial choices it hurts.

The wee necklace I've got on is from my favourites, Story by Kranz and Ziegler. It arrived all the way from Denmark and I've had it on ever since. I love it so much that I'd even have gone to the airport with a little welcome sign to greet it off the plane. It'd be so romantic and happy all at once, like the opening scene of Love Actually, but better.
